Our inaugural event in Bangkok was a success! Over three days, freight forwarding industry professionals gathered to connect, collaborate, and inspire each other toward new heights. Here’s a recap of the highlights and a sneak peek into what’s next for My Network.
What Happened in Bangkok:
A Recap of an Unforgettable Event
Our Bangkok conference kicked off on Wednesday, September 25, with excitement in the air as attendees from across the freight forwarding industry gathered for registration and the general network meeting. It was the perfect opportunity to meet fellow professionals, hear from the leaders of the group about the future of the network which set the tone for the days ahead.
As a bonus, the Social Star team organised a photoshoot for all members to gift them a headshot for our website and their personal brand.
As the sun set, we transitioned into a relaxed evening of welcome drinks on the fabulous rooftop bar at SO/ Bangkok with members on the 29th floor, followed by a delicious dinner that allowed everyone to mingle in a more intimate setting, forging connections that would strengthen throughout the event.
On Thursday, we delved deeper into our shared goals with 1:1 networking time—a unique opportunity to truly get to know your peers and build lasting relationships. We were treated to thought-provoking presentations from top vendors, sharing insightful information on marketing and event management to assist all members in upskilling their knowledge.
The day continued with a vibrant lunch, followed by something a little more relaxed—a surprise treasure hunt around Old Bangkok, learning about the history of the city and visiting areas tourists rarely see. Member’s mentioned it was a fantastic way to get to spend time with different people in a more personal setting.
To close out the day, we ventured beyond the conference walls to enjoy a memorable dinner at Issaya Siamese Club.
Friday marked the conclusion of our Bangkok experience, but not without leaving a lasting impression. The morning featured more 1:1 networking time, providing another chance to connect on a personal level. The day culminated in the highly anticipated Membership Inductions, where we proudly welcomed new members into the fold—an unmissable moment for anyone truly invested in growing within our network.
The conference wrapped up with a relaxed social gathering at the bar, where we raised a glass to new friendships, partnerships, and the exciting future of My Network.
